Arsenal Soccer Schools in London Colney
Arsenal Soccer Schools ran their first holiday camp at the Arsenal Training Centre on Thursday 3rd January 2013 in partnership with Arsenal Ladies.
New operators HB Soccer launched their first course with the help of Arsenal Ladies and over 65 children attended. A mix of boys and girls aged 5 to 14 took part in the training day.
The youngest of players focused on short passing and skill development while the older players worked on advanced techniques during the morning. In the middle of the day players took part in skills tests and competitions and in the afternoon all the young people took part in small sided matches and tournaments.
At the end of the day every player went home with the new Arsenal Soccer Schools prizes including a poster, first team player card, and a medal. Everyone also got to meet Olympian, Arsenal Ladies & England striker Ellen White.
Director of Arsenal Soccer Schools in Buckinghamshire, Ben Roberts said;
'It was excellent to see all the boys and girls training at such a lovely venue. It was great of the Arsenal Ladies team to give over use of the state of the art facilities for local children and everybody had an excellent day. It is our aim to deliver our methods of coaching to as many children across Hertfordshire as possible and we aim to do this throughout 2013.
The course at the Arsenal Training Centre was a great start to the year and we hope all those young people in Hertfordshire interested in football can join us on our courses this year.'
The next event being held by Arsenal Soccer Schools in Hertfordshire is a free open session at Boreham Wood FC on Saturday 26th January and can be booked on the website now.
