Arsenal Soccer Schools Dubai held its first ever 3 v 3 tournament this term, open to any players in the under 8 & under 9 age bracket.

There were lots of goals and every team came with full effort and great spirit.

The game of the tournament was one of the semi-finals when one team came back from 4-0 behind to make it 4-4!! Euan Clague scoring the dramatic equaliser in the dying seconds.

The final was won eventually by Team Eboue (pictured with trophy) Team members Oli and Dodi El’Circy and McKenzie Hunt overcame Team Arshavin (Pictured with runners-up DVD prizes in their hands) 2-1.

Team Arshavin consisted of Marcus Tessier, Jordan Adetiba, Eno Nto and Abdulla Basamed.

Head Coach Gareth Hamilton said “The tournament as played in great spirit, we have some very talented boys, the attitude and determination showed by every player is all a coach can ask for. The winning team was excellent and played the Arsenal way at all times. Credit also goes to team Arshavin, they fought all the way and got stronger and stronger. I also have to give credit to all of the parents who have come here and have shown great support. We asked them to allow the kids to “self-coach” and this was observed really well.”

Arsenal Soccer School hopes to hold this tournament on a yearly basis and half of the boys will be able to look forward to coming back next year to try and get their hands on the trophy.
